the ten year old boy sat still

waiting for his mom to drive him to school

his stomach felt ill

the kids called him fool

i look at him

he looks at me

i say keep your head up

it'll get better

the smile i see

I later get a letter

that boy is dead

he killed himself

shot in the head

with a note that said

the kids at school
