I know that these chains will break.

But when I try to breathe I’m suffocated by your dishonesty.

When I try to escape I’m just locked up like an unwanted orphan waiting to be adopted. Neglected and only fed off your leftover scraps while you feed the swine with the bread and wine that we labored to make during the season of feasts.

This is my critical appeal that you

amend your broken and corrupted schemes. That instead of selfish and vain aspirations be the drive of your heart that there be a love that transcends the frailties of this world.

When I see you I strive to look past the traps and dark pits that you have fallen so deep within. Your ways have bound me and my family down indeed. But what about you? Where does your soul lie? In chains under a cold sea. You don’t know it yet, but you need to be set free just as much as me! For when you seek to hurt someone else you are only hurting yourself.
