To Him

I often spend many a sleepless night,

Wondering if I could make things right.

I know of your hatred of me,

But I wonder how that could be.

We were great friends, you and I.

Somehow, someway, we let it die.

I’ve been ignored, but that’s okay.

Maybe, I’ll figure it out someday.

Until then, I’ll leave you be,

Just know that I’m here if you ever need me.
