Happy To Be Different

I am different.

At times, even belligerent

Not the usual teen

More grown up and a bit more than fourteen

I can't make sense of the world around me

And try to be the best that I can be

To me, it is all just a big game

But, why am I to blame?

I am gifted.

From my set course I've drifted

I try not to show it half the time

And here I am writing this rhyme

I am easily angered

Yes, I do know I'm the nonstandard

A single word I say comes out cruel

It's not something I mean to be

But I am Me

Different I Shall be forever

Because no ones ever the same

As the other
