A Friendship Reflected
All the lights we can not see,
All the music we can not hear,
All the memories we can not remember
Are the shadows of a life unpursued.
Are ripples in a pond with no reflection.
Two kind souls forged together by destiny
Two people grounded by life unstill
Two friends preparing for the future unknown
Is a bond true?
Is this a friendship?
Time unveils devilish deeds
Time decides the lives we lead
Time does not know our souls
Why are our paths controlled?
Why are we together?
Can’t comprehend each grain of sand
Can’t create a beach of man
Can’t control everyone’s plans
What is in the other’s eyes?
What is truly seen?
I choose to live a life unknown
I choose my friends of different tone
I choose to act like stone
How do friends act alone?
How are we alone?
My wish was for a friend of care
My wish was for a bond so fair
My wish was for happiness
Who are friends alone?
Who is my reflection?
All the lights we can not see,
All the music we can not hear,
All the memories we can not remember
