Have you ever stopped to see

How all of our lives might be

Without those who died for the red, white, and blue

Sacrificing their lives for me and you

Do you even give one thought

To those who are fighting and those who have fought

On their own backs our freedom and lives are carried

Yet every day we drive by where they are buried

You won't get shot just stepping out your door

Or get blown up going to the store

Cause some soldier already took those bullets or that bomb

Serving in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Vietnam

I love my country and all those who fought in the war

So give them a little honor and respect because they deserve much more
