I'm finally here

Right where I want to be

It seems as if it has taken forever

For me to see so clear

But here I am

A college student

Making her way through classrooms and side walks

Hoping to build a life

That she wanted all along

A life that fulfills all her dreams

But it was not an easy feat

To get here on this college campus

So many obstacles discouraged my hope

But I built it back up

To prove to myself

That anything is possible

I graduated high school one year early

To show my parents how serious I was

I worked day in and day out

In order to prove to them just who I really was

And look at me now

Right where I want to be

It seems as if my dream is now a reality

And I can't wait to see

All that the world has in store for me
