Escape and Sight, by Deja Featherston

Location

I write because I fight with words. I write because when I write I can be heard when there's no one else to listen and nothing else to do, not a verb else. When I write my sentences are fragmented but my thoughts are complete. Through. I can be who I am without you to incite change in me, I can be free. Like the hands of a painter that creates artistry I am blacksmith, I am sculptor, I am as close to God as I can be without weed or other methods of escape I put peices together like tape and glue to create a vision of Me, who I am, what I want to be and how I see the world around me. I am a girl with wings. You ask me why I fly? I fly to escape and I fly to see, that's why I write.
