We all have that one goal in life

That one job we’ve dreamed about all our lives since we were little

Whether it was to become a princess like Cinderella

To be the firefighter that saves the day

To be the policeman who chases down the bad guys

Or a baseball player who makes their name into the Hall of Fame

There’s one job that has gained my heart as well as interest

Becoming a pediatrician

There’s one thing that I absolutely adore

Helping children

I love seeing their faces light up when they smile

Hearing their laughs ring through the air

I want to be the person who helps them along the way

To see them grow up healthy and fit

To be the one they can come to when the smiles aren’t so easy to come by

To help children

Not only with their problems but to make them well again

To be the one doctor they wouldn’t mind going to see

That will help them when they have “ouchies” their parents can’t take care of

To be the person who is able to keep children healthy

That is worth everything in the world to me

Why?

Because, you're the one who is making a difference in their lives

You’re keeping them well 

You're helping them along their way to growing up

Being that is something I strive to achieve every day
