As a Daughter of the King

As a daughter of the King,

I know I am more than

a number that magically knows my

flaws, imperfections, strengths, desires

and dreams.

I know I am more than

the sterotypical,

thin as a butterfly's wings,

light and airy as a cloud,

continuous contridiction of messy and pristine

handwriting

that somehow seems to be grace the never-ending

picture perfect reality of social media.

I know I am more than

a bible that looks perfect inside and out,

yet fills its delicately lined pages with the

lives of imperfect people searching for

the truth.

Yet, even though I know my worth

is above all these things,

the world tells me a different story

than the one my Father

has written for me.
