The Conversation

Location

I’m talking to you,

And I see the weight fall off your shoulders and onto your face

And I see your eyes light up in fear of falling off the edge of the earth

And I smile, wondering how it looks to you

Am I wearing my mask well?

And I see your tongue run across your lips at hard syllables

And I see all your teeth because your smile means that you're wearing your mask well

Or maybe you really are happy.
