Can't Turn Me Around

Location

Light feet beat out
the rhythm lodged
within the recesses
of her wild mind,
bringing to life
the sweet melodies
of Mother Earth.

Soft lips sing
the truth of the world
for everyone to hear,
destroying the darkness
that repeatedly attempts
to drown her
beneath painful sorrow.

A slight body hit
with the problems
of human nature
stands back up,
turning her face
to the brilliance
of the heavens above.

That tender soul shines
with self-confidence
and nearly bursts
with true happiness,
radiating a sense
of tranquility
that reflects strength.
