Beauty Unknown
I watch as the bird flaps her wings
Propelling herself accross a distance
She lands on a flower, delicate and white
Breathing in the aroma, relishing the chance
The dove, she flies around again
Searching for more beauty to embrace
Yearning to soar through vast meadows
To view all the colors before they erase
But as she flies she encounters walls
Big, tall structures trapping her in
Dooming her to a monotonous life
Of forever circling yesterday's twin
Nothing is quite like the beauty of Earth
Everything so natural and so sweet
But sometimes there is a breif longing
To see the beauty just a tad more free
To break free of the murals of this planet
To travel other systems, new and diverse
To uncover fresh, mysterious beauty
To not be held on this planet, already coerced
