My journey to Middletown

Although I never thought that’s where I’d go

We may be alone

But that doesn’t mean we’re not connected

Alone still

Connected as we live and breathe

Blood pumping through our veins

Connected in our confusion

And misinterpretations of the world

This year is different

It has changed me

For the better

I am at peace being alone
