Children are supposed to play,

Not spend so much time wondering why they've been betrayed.

At what age should a child be able to define dismay?

How young is too young for a child to learn to hate?

Why should a child have to portray,

That he has it all together, emotions at bay?

Should he be aware of the worlds troubles today?

For the child to be a kid is it ever too late?

The child wanted so badly to grow up,

But now of the suffering he's had more than enough.
