Why do I feel like I'm being held at gunpoint
Every second of my life?
My parents are threatening to pull the trigger if
I don't perform to their expectations in school.
My teachers are threatening to pull the trigger if
I forget to turn in even one assignment.
My friends are threatening to pull the trigger if
I'm not into the same games as them anymore.
My grandparents are threatening to pull the trigger if
I don't find a girl and give them the grandchildren they want.
I am constantly threatening to pull the trigger if
I can't keep up with my own goals and expectations for myself
Let alone the goals and expectations everyone else has for me.
I'm seventeen.
I wasn't made to be held at gunpoint.
I wasn't made for you to mold and play with
And make me your perfect little Barbie doll.
I'm seventeen.
I can't handle this.
Stop taunting me.
Let me pull the trigger for you.

...

Please.
