I'm Coming Home
Dear Home,
Every time,
I march out the front doors of the airport,
Gazing over the crowd of families,
Tears trickle down my cheeks,
Not just any tears,
Tears of joy…
I gather my courage,
Hold tightly on to my dreams,
Push myself forward,
Never letting go,
Making it to the end…
I think to myself,
I have returned,
And respond,
This is it...
I slowly look up,
Gather my things,
Wave my past goodbye,
Hand in hand with the ones I love,
My family…
We begin making our way home,
Please await us,
Thank you
