Your Seat

He sits in the back of the class and he won't talk to you
He sits in the back of the class because last week you laughed at him for having holes in his clothes
He sits in the back of the class because you just can't let it go that he got a little too upset about that B on his math test
He sits in the back of the class and hopes that you won't notice the bruises his dad left on him last night
He sits in the back of the class and hopes his dad is sober when he comes home this time

But she sits in the front of the class
She sits in the front if the class and hopes it makes you think she has it made
She sits in the front of the class, and hopes she did a good job fixing her make up after crying in the bathroom last period
She sits in the front of the class and hopes her name brand clothes are nice enough to hide the fact that her parents are separating
She sits in the front of the class and hopes shes a good actress

Most of you sit in the middle of class
But you can't appreciate it because you're too busy trying to figure out a way to get into somebody else's seat
