I often greet the day with a scowl It's not as if I would smile after 4 hours of sleep, knowing that still, my work isn't finished.   I've gotta get up To get an education and to do well in school
Dust swirls around my face My shirt sticks, reluctant to release my back Hot sun covers everything, and brightens the area
A silent shadow, trying to speak. Day after day she was patient, trying to make her point. Too scared to say her thoughts, Too smart to ask out loud.
                 Oh lord, let these people thats doing wrong open their eyes to the bloody storm                  Oh lord, make them realize whats really going on                   Oh lord,I don't care what you do
A poem has changed since we were little; “Here is the church, here is the steeple, Open it up...”
