Gonna overthink about a boy that had I never likedAnd would never like
Because I know that he will never like me back
You buy your baby
Blue onesies, racecars, and little footballs
When your baby’s hair gets to his shoulders
You cut it short
And say how handsome he looks
You love your baby boy
I knew a girl once who got called boy more times than she could count
each time it brought tears to her eyes liked she’d never amount
to their glorified expectations
horrified by her image in the mirror
All I ever wanted
Was for you
To want me
Take me
Absorb me
For who I am
But it seems too much to ask
