Years ago, when the earth
Was as delicate as a new born doe
A huge land mass got split
Giving a piece of land
On which we stand, upright and still
Ancestors turned into humans
streaks of color
a droplet / a prism
bold, crazy, rainbow.
the scent
the earth soaked in new sunshine
fresh dew
music
no human can replicate.
the notes
Listen! I am between the sidewalk cracks
Listen! Here under asphalt bought with tax
Listen! To city trees with smog their ax
Hear my healing voice and have hope again
In a gigantic galaxy
Lies the 3rd rock from the sun
Sustaining all kinds of life
It continuously spun
Simultaneously rotating as it orbits
Causing change in every 3 months
To me, they were all sea-glass and Midsummer morning
Seraphic choir song that would whisper words of sweet serenity
our mother (earth) knows pain more than any human could experience and/orcomprehendbouts of droughts are known to occur during summer; the phrase “when it rains it pours” isn’t well known for little reasoning
Smoke clogs her lungs and makes it hard to breathe
Cough, cough she tries to hard
Her tears dry up as her children beg Her to give them more
but nobody listens to Her needs, to Her pleads
Some say she was born millions ago,
Others say hundreds.
She's here now.
We treat her like we're teens,
We don't clean our room.
We kill her children,
Lo matamos cuando quiere cariño.
A rocky hillock grove
Through softly which
Thy sea-wind blows
By which a single river flows
into the cold loch it goes
Thy Single starry night
Mother Earth
rejoices hymns
of children
cradled in branches
birthed by her human mothers
Mother Earth
rooted in pain
endurer of vain
bears blessing, sends prayer
I need answers
I need prayers
I need sympathy
In this dying misery
I need affection
I need hope
I need this wind to tell me which way to go
So come with me now
Nature is a beautiful thing…
When it isn’t retaliating
But can we really blame nature for her emotional mood swings?
Isn’t it our fault that the air has smog rings?
