“One nation under god”? Try one nation divided.
Rich and poor. When did we get so misguided?
That girl you just made derogatory comments to,
Doesnt want you.
She didn't dress in any way for you.
Although it probably doesn't shake her,
As young girl she's had heard it too
I am a girl
This means I am weak
This means no matter my profession
I make 22 cents less than a man per dollar
But I am a girl so I do not need the money a man does
What is a woman? A worker who wiles away her weary hours waiting, washing, and watching the door for her master to march into the mess? For what is a man but the manager, moderator, and meal ticket?
I am a woman
I laugh, cry, smile, and frown
I never want to let my family down
I am a daughter
Indescribable and pure like water
I am a sister
I come from good intentions
I am a mother
I speak for women
I speak for girls who were asking for it
I speak for the mace in my purse; Don't be such a
girl
My gender- an insult?
I speak for the Equal Pay Act not passing
A young girl once harmed;
many times for many years.
A young girl once harmed;
confuse and anguished in utter pain.
That young girl turned bad.
Seemed as though her innocense was gone.
I am young and I am proud
I am woman and I am loud
I am the result of determination
When women come together and want,
No wait choose to make a difference
Who stood out for equality
