Shepherd

Today I realized the word Shepherd, is one "e" away from Sheep herd
Which isn’t enough to write a poem about
But it was enough to make me not kill myself today.
A few still shine-Gold Souls
I'm placed around them to guide
If they alone choose to accept
push, pull or reject, its still alright
I know what it's like, to be stubborn
It turns on you and will for-sure burn
Light becomes day in the seconds come,
Will sun have killed by pressing thumb;
Thou wilt not ever to me prove
That wantest me to be thy love.
Thy gifts are faded by discord
Come live with me and be my love,
And to thee will I henceforth prove
That art more fair than beauteous light
And shinest bright in summer’s night.
I will thee bring a stand tall mirror,
The one thing I could not live without,
is not what most think about.
It cannot be seen,
but is very serene.
It is the feeling of someone caring.
When one is there to comfort my fears,
The Lord gave me a heart for the hurting
Allowed me to enjoy opportunities of which I wasn’t always deserving
Endowed me with the power of spiritual discernment
Enabled confidence to generate a lyrical disturbance
You speak to me with soft words
The three same words as always
I don’t know how to respond or act

Go, little sheep, from this
bare and desolate land.
Go from this wicked place
with its whips and brands.
Go, press onward through
the cold gates that bar the way
Go, leave this dark world
