Many years have gone by,
Since my master passed away,
Once nothing, now everything,
He made me, me,
He made me famous,
Did you know van Gogh ate yellow paint
to get the happiness inside
And did you know everyone thought he was crazy
because how could eating yellow paint possibly
get the happiness inside.
I’ve been taking in ideas of what life should mean from nameless strangers I’ve never even met.
I try to listen to what they have to say;
I want to tuck it away into my soul and save it for you.
Stars swirl and turn like a pool of quick sand
Leaving gold dust in the darkening sky
Flickering and burning til’ the world’s end
Scattered like the homey towns in Versaille
