Love to be longed for, thinking it existed no more.    He builds up my hopes, then tears down my dreams.   Never knowing how much, to me, he really means.  
Time is passing, still procrastinating.    With much to endeavor, won’t last forever.   Dream so wild, yet aspects mild.    One moment in time, A thoughtless rhyme.  
I’ll always remember your kind loving heart, hoping fate will never tear us apart.   Looking back all those years, great love and everlasting tears.

Kids get wet in the summer time leaving parks and street corners outlined with the residue of the ashy. I sometimes wonder what could have been of their future and my concsious says,
“Detroit”
I was raised in rock city: Detroit. Not  'in close proximity', but Detroit. I was raised in the city that improved the assembly line.
Her son walks Seven Mile 
The area is all but silent with cries of mothers holding their child.
Detroit is defined by its weedman and its homeless, its strippers and its hopeless. Why is it that everywhere we look there's strip clubs and a traphouse, a burned down building and kids living with a single spouse.
I celebrate my city, And hope for better things because it will arise from the ashes. I see things unseen by CNN, Or those who have never been within my city’s limits. A diamond in the ruff,
One. Two. Not minutes. I refuse to drive through. Maybe I’m one of a few. I’ll start with time. I could not go. But I won’t drive by that city. Even if its two hours. Just a quick hello.
