I am inspired by my past
Not what I went through,
But how long it last.
After a while it became abuse,
Not physical
But mental, and emo-tion-al.
When someone like them
Someone who’s hurt you your whole life
Has hurt you to the extent they have
When they have such a strong hold on you
That you continue to deal with it
High temperatures drop to fifty degrees
and a baby in a red onesie lay alone in his crib.
The TV next to him blares too loudly,
so nobody can hear him cry.
An 18 year old mother got high and
"Because I Love You"
Is a phrase I've heard far too often from
both Mom and You.
See, the difference is the intentions behind it.
"Because I Love You" from Mom
is like an overwhelming bear hug
If u hurt me I'm not coming out to play
In this lonely house I will stay
I will look after myself in this deserted home
It is where I am shielded and can safely roam
If you look through the windows you will see
Just another divorce
Just another teenage pregnancy
Just another death
Just another drop-out
Just another homocide
Suicide
Aborticide
Massacre
Just another war
