From Inspiration to Determination

I am inspired by my past

Not what I went through,

But how long it last.

After a while it became abuse,

Not physical

But mental, and emo-tion-al.

In and out of jail,

My dad became a percentage

And it wasn’t just him.

My mom?

She was hectic.

One year she was there.

The next she wasn’t.

It all had me thinking,

why so sudden?

I had to move for me,

after realization,

because my parents

created this complication.

This complication because inspiration

I was motivated to succeed with no hesistation.

School was the spark of my journey

Survivng a rollercoaster, but it was worthy.

Worthy of my time, patience and determination

I needed to complete it all to make it to graduation.

I am not mad or angry, I am thankful

I found myself trying to find my parents

I am grateful.

I was inspired by my past

Not what I went through,

But how long it last.
