The numbers on my phone screen
glared me in the face.
Another week 'till payday--
I wouldn't make it at this pace.
Movies and icecream, fun, and spending galore
Your eyes,
red and swollen,
your eyes set to kill
lock on me.
Why me?
Why Me.........
The world does not revolve around you
If so then the sun would shoot down like rain on a window pane
Tap Tap Tapping on your skin until you blister and boil
Oh such pain that i'll never know
A writer’s sword is a pen
Green, blue, red, black, yellow ink
Inside a long plastic contraption
It spews words exempt for bigotry
And hatred.
A writer’s pen stops magic from happening during a
A shiver creeps across the spine
As if lifeless hands were playing it like a grand piano.
Words are spoken in the hushed tone of a eulogy
Dripping off of chapped lips like a venom-spitting snake.
And it's really sad, how this all worked out.
I watched the scene alter, watched it all fall down.
With a tear or two, maybe three.
I can feel them drowning, or is it me?
To take a step, when you see no ground
is the reaction of the body.
To think a thought, when life is unsound
is the reaction of the mind.
To dream a dream, when everything seems broken
I feel it now.
I am going down,
and I can't stop.
I always said I wouldn't let the tears fall,
but I can't help it now.
I try to ease the pain,
but it doesn't work.
I feel so alone.
