Nobody wants to be blocked
In front of the gate of Heaven
Even the worst criminals, on the block
For a pass, cringe, mourn and yearn.
Birds of a feather flock together,
born on the 23rd of october,
here comes Wanya after Wilber-t,
seven mintes after his brother.
They were brought into this world together,
My mother
is the strongest person
I know.
She has done everything
she can
to make my life
the best one
she can.
My father is
a conniving,
sleazy,
two-
It's something special
Between what you and I have.
The bond that enlightens me
And I know you see it, too.
Funny how you and I were once strangers
With eyes the same color and faces the same shape
people think they see double and that's their first mistake.
They both can laughand they both can sin
yet what they hold most important that, lies within.
Our skin meshed,By our tendons underneath,We were so grateful,Until you needed more than we, One by heart,Three by the feet,Your elbows now tug against my cheeks,Trying to rip through the sheath,And make your run for the prince,Your passions flow
Throughout my entire life i've had what I can't live without.
She's the only thing i'd ever need...for anything.
She, being my twin sister.
Two eggs, one body. Hold a bond.
A bond - so unbreakable, stronger than steel and beyond.
The bond of two twins is like one beating heart,
Ventricle needs atria to both do its part.
"Hey it's the twins!"
We have our own names
I kept telling people
But nobody knew us by them
I hated it
I couldn't stand being identical
"No, I'm Courtney..."
They'd apologize
Connected by the heart and clasped with a hand A whole lifetime and more spent in constant company, a single monochrome In dazzling colors blended by genes, painted with love. Questioning identity in sadness Trapped in a mirror of dazzling irides
Poets went from wrting poems to dirges.
Bombs too loud to be seen but refusing to be unheard.
I laugh.
A solemn thought of peace is too absurd.
i don't need this boy anymore
that's what i keep telling myself
until i'm laying in darkness
buried by threadbare quilts and
my own secret sadness
The world brought me whatever I needed,
A friend,
A mother,
A father,
A brother-
Yet, it took away something valuable.
Someone I loved,
Someone I adored-
She was my sister,
One of Two, Brilliant Miracles
Walk among lands of gold
Live life bold in new and old
Love and see a world with splendor
She had a twin sister of whom no one knew.
She impersonated her through and through.
She went to school and lived her life,
Bullying everyone, and being bullied with strife.
Polar Opposites
By Amanda G
Blood connects me to you, and you to me.
You are my dear brother, my lifelong friend.
Two halves from a whole, the same age are we,
