Nobody Wants To Be Blocked

Nobody wants to be blocked

In front of the gate of Heaven

Even the worst criminals, on the block

For a pass, cringe, mourn and yearn.

Nobody wants to be black

Bruised, discolored and brown

But one day, all will be as dark

As the charcoal at early dawn.

Under many feet of dirt

Spoiled, powerless, helpless and rotten

Without visible pants or skirt.

We’ll be twins in the dungeon

After realizing that we’re brothers

And sisters, at the mercy of countless critters.
