Because I have been by your side for years now, you think im attached,
You call I dont pick up, So you swing and I collapse,
Chains bearing so hard I struggle and unwrap,
Words so cold, I can't help but detach,
Because I love you, honesty will be ever present
You can rest assured that our communication is true
That my thoughts and actions are pure to you
There are no games I secretly play
Because you loved me
You looked at me like I mattered
Like something more than skin and bones
You looked at me like I was a story
Or even a fresh painting
I loved that.
I loved you.
