Oh to be like Echo,
Always calling out but never heard.
To be like Midas,
Always reaching out but never touched.
To be like Medusa,
Nicole by the river, that's Nicole by the river.
Oh how she made the man shiver.
She yelled, shouted, and pouted, even tried re-routing.
But he sat there recounting.
So by the river she walked, scowling.
Surely he is as he always been,
flying between the crowded bend.
The people lift their eyes as he knew they would,
To see his Beautiful wings, his Delighted beak
He loves the attention, craves it you see.
