I chose to go
To somewhere that was quite unknown
Whole new ideas

And all my thoughts?

Global Citizens
First week of school, info booths galore,
Fliers and pamphlets stacked to the roof from the floor.
But one stood out proudly, simply sublime,
Study abroad, the chance of my lifetime.
Traveling can be considered a luxury
This make finances the main worry
Many consider it unbelievable
However it can be achievable
Through scholarships and business
Dancing, singing, cooking, drinking, laughing
Watching my fellow friends inhale the smell of homemade pasta
Grimacing at our professors, thinking of all we had discovered together
“Empacó un par de camisas, un sombrero
Su vocación de aventurero, seis consejos, siete fotos
Mil recuerdos”
The dreamer in me can't stay still
The visions of the future give me chills
Languages I learn: Vietnamese and French
But my satisfaction isn't quenched
I want to travel
If we're trying to understand the universe
why can't we do it through our hands,
fragile little bones bending
to send the energy we conduct
by blood pulsing in and out of chambers
through all that we touch,
