raindrop

Dear human population of planet Earth,
A single raindrop slips from the clouds
plummets through the air
and lands on the windshield
Asking when the right time is
To move on forward,
To leave behind things unbroken,
People not forgotten,
Actions never betraying a regretful tone,
May not be so hard after all.
If you could be the next thing you see
Would you do it?
Would you take your chances as a bumble bee
Or would you rather just forget it?
Life is too short to stay the same
Even if you're great.
