I am from pecan trees
From toys and technology.
I am from the dandelions.
The Ivy that eats trees
Whose thin body I remember
As if it were my own.
I’m slowly losing the pieces of you that littered my memories. You’re beginning to fade from me. I can’t remember what your voice sounded like, or your laugh.
Dear father,
You came through the
door like a fox,
It’s been so long.
I didn’t dare look up
I didn’t know
what to call you.
Dear Daddy Dearest.
It feels odd that I call you that.
You are not dear. At least to me.
Nor do I feel I should call you "Daddy."
Or "Dad." Or "Father." Or "Papa." Or Whatever.

Dear dad,
I mean person,
I’m sorry… man?
Dear Daddy,Where have you been? It's been 13 years, but my skin still crawlswith imprints of your finger
Father, why did you leave me and my mother? Were we not good Enough?
Father, why do you deny the many children you have as if they meant nothing to you.
