foe

You emobody the vessel of pure isolation
what more of an effect could you embrace me with
for your friend has seduced the one who's given me life into a life of nevermore
and now we stand face to face
A nuisance, a loud crying baby,
I can’t express how annoyed you made me,
But I was young and I didn’t know,
That you were a blessing in disguise before you had even grown,
A shoulder to cry on,
the feeling is dark
it's burning real slow
growing and festering
the origin unknown
one day I woke and suddenly so
engulfed by emotion
and left with a foe
instinct is real
I fell at the first moment of battle
But I didn’t get up until the end,
As I scavenged for food I found a foe
But we quickly became friends,
Carmelo, who always has a smile
Who only speaks Spanish
Who always makes us laugh
Who will do anything to see his family
Who loves us more than
So you found out
Well, how do you feel?
Me?
I feel vulnerable
Anxious
Confused
Judged
Hurt
Angry
Destroyed
This was a side of me that you weren't ready for
I envy those that shine in the light,
Those who aren't afraid to fight
for who they are.
For every time I think it's time,
For every time I say that this moment, this one is surely mine,
You're as clear as glass
and the nastiest mess;
You have different personalities
and about thirty masks;
You guide others throug the dungeon
with nothing to see;
You're heart's darker than ebony
Broken smiles
Fall to the ground
Littered with lips
Fragile like glass
As the emotions sink deeper into their past
Through layers of forgotten guilt
And terrible things they had felt
Who will you be?
Will you grow up without me?
Or will we stay here?
Under the golden sphere?
Or maybe under the silver moon?
While you act like a loon?
What about today?
Do you know?
That little people grow.
I was never told,
For no one was so bold,
Of those among my foe.
All my life I have struggled
All of time I have fought
Every day a new battle
Every hour a new loss
I'm no soldier or fighter
Not a hero at all
Just a person imprisoned
In a mind not my own
