You chief and warrior strong,
Rise up, and send the Spaniards home,
To the place where they belong,
You who are called “The Brave,”
My slam coaches and judges tell me
That I mumble too much
Something about how I speak when I’m on stage
I have this almost drawl
Am I white enough?
Child of the people brave and true
American by breed
