To never be good enough
is to be a sponge submerged
and a balloon squeezed,
nowhere for the air inside to go.
To never be good enough
is...
Yesterday I sat unmoving in a little cove
As the wind whipped my hair back and forth.
I tried to keep my eyes open
As the rain forced...
They are me,
The unruly hair and stained yellow bottom tooth
The dark brown stretch marks resembling chicken scratches
The excess amount...
I stare at this blank page
my hand not sure of what to write.
Even when I think I am filled to the brim
I am as empty as the words on this...
America, The Great
Here lie the words that I pen to you.
Hoping that they pierce your armor.
Like your bullets do.
I am not wishing harm....
