Enough

To never be good enough

is to be a sponge submerged

and a balloon squeezed,

nowhere for the air inside to go.

To never be good enough

is to feel your eyebrows being plucked

and canines ripping through

your gums.

To never be good enough

is to be a pencil that never sharpens

and a jar that doesn't quite fill up

with the right amount of marbles.

To never be good enough

Is to be a mushroom picked out, discarded

And the shoes

Never worn again after the first time.
