Poems from elisenicolle
This poem is the breath i take
before I speak.
that air that gets
caught
in my lungs
and is released with an empty
absence of words....
All barriers
Planted stubbornly in front of the
Ever growing traffic line growing
Incessantly
Congested
More words
More words
And...
Eyes wide open
splashed with life
the purest throat
sang a curious song
new to the air
the child’s gray eyes,
built with pencil lead...
Dear make-up,
thank you.
Thank you for being
a blindfold
to the hungry eyes,
a bandage
to the fresh wounds
a towel
to the naked girl,...
Growing up
it wasn’t easy seeing my mother abused.
painted with hot blood
gashed and bruised
he ripped life from her chest
only slightly...
