Womanhood (as it shouldn't be)

like clockwork

it struck when i was sixteen

i thought i would be safe

no one should have what i have

down there

find the common denominator

one second plus two seconds

a minute is too long

and inconsistent

a watch wound too tight

tick tock    tick tock     tick

inescapable babble

a clock will stop when

it hits the floor

time is fleeting

time is fleeing

you can't reclaim sixteen

We came reclaim sweet 16 eh. A fantastic poem, great rhythm and poetic words. I like it lots. Kudos.

I see comments are not common here, but interaction is good for the human touch in this cold world.  Pleez do comment/ review my newest poem too.
