A Woman of Virtue
A woman of worth greater than rubies
Never failing to fulfill her duties
Through cold and drought it is no matter
Ensuring her family stays warm and gets fatter
Strength she carries and fierceness she displays
Fruitful and good in all of her days
A light so bright not dimmed by night
Early to rise before first light
Escaping idleness to see our needs fulfilled
Also enterprising, greats profits she yields
By the work of her hands we are clothed and fed
By the wisdom and kindness of her tongue we are led
Surely towards heaven she is raised
And by me she shall be praised.
