Who May Sing?

Thu, 10/26/2017 - 19:18 -- tsallie

Who may sing America?

They sing America

Without ridicule

Without judgement

Because their skin is without color

They sing America

And are praised

And are admired

Because they are "superior"

We sing America

We're ridiculed

We're hated

Because our skin is colored

We sing America

And we're killed

And we're jailed

Yet somehow, we're America too

So again I ask

Who may sing America?
