Where our hearts lie

When day turns to night,

Where do our hearts lie?

In the mist of the past,

Or the void of the unknown.

As the sun reaches the horizon,

Thoughts dance in our minds.

What has happened,

What will happen,

And what might happen.

The lines that bind us,

Both to our minds,

Both to our hearts,

Both to our souls,

Blur into a fog,

A fog so thick.

A fog that defies reason.

Beware of the horizon,

For it questions where our hearts lie.
