When You Walked Away

Sun, 10/03/2021 - 21:49 -- C. Bear

When you walked away, I never thought it would hurt

I never expected to wait for a text, a call, a sign you were still okay

I always thought that walking away will leave you out of my life for good, but I can't get rid of you

I can't listen to the radio without hearing our song

I can't watch that movie without thinking of how much you loved it

I can't see that resturant, that park, that theatre, that car, that book without finding you hiding in its dark corners

When you walked away, I thought I could forget

When you walked away, I didn't realize you would never leave.
