What more can I do?

Location

That back seat far into the corner,

I become unseen.

Though I do the work that you ask,

Why can I not just be me?

You tell us to be our selves,

But when we do, you shut us down,

As the trouble student,

Or the class clown.

I do my best for you to like me,

But what more can I do to be seen?

After all I am in the far corner,

Challenged to be nothing more than I’ve been.

Why do I have to change to pass?

Why can I not be me in the class?
