We Can't Help It but Being Woke

Tue, 05/02/2017 - 14:27 -- Yoni19

What is good and tasteful? Is it to follow what has been force-fed to me? If so, tell me please Is my kind evil and disgraceful? Were We more fit as slaves of your ideals? What is true beauty to an African in America, is as vision to a blind man. We must assimilate! Equality is what we need! what good is it when your master don't need yo labor no mo'. ...Do We have leaders anymore? I , only wonder I mean what do we have to lose just, I know no pure truth ...I would like to believe that I have a culture, I would like to believe that I am a unique, I would like to believe that my heritage is mine, Parents can only pass down so many experiences, ...I cannot define what is beauty for me, For it has already been defined for me, Still I say, Not diversity that is beautiful but color, Not assimilation but independence, Not man made but nature driven, Not the dream but the journey, Not our reality but the ideal, Not society but its people, Not beauty but originality.
