Wait till daylight comes

The quiet screams echoing in the darkness

Wait till daylight comes

The soft claws of a murder of crows laying in wait for prey

Wait till daylight comes

Angry hands looking for their next victim

Wait till daylight comes

Bullets flying from hands too young to end a life too soon

Wait till daylight comes

Blades sliding across skin too young to understand what’s wrong

Wait till daylight comes

Just as the blood stops dripping from the knuckles of the ‘troubled youth’

Wait till daylight comes

The pounding pill bottle and the empty heart

Wait till daylight comes

Listening to the hushed cries of the innocent

Wait till daylight comes

The pleads of the dead to be released from the reapers grasp

Wait till daylight comes

The whispers of a silent hurricane telling the confused to jump off

Just please wait till daylight comes
