Ugly

Fri, 07/07/2017 - 14:30 -- Pajai

Once upon a time…

There was a mother duck

Who laid some eggs

But was out of luck

For when one egg hatched

It was a shock

To see her beautiful babies

And and one ugly duck

So the mother yelled

And shunned her son

But longer he dwelled

To say to everyone

“Ugly is social construct!”

And he waddled away

With his head held high

To go on to slay

And continue looking fly

He walked far and wide

To lands no one’s been

To say that what’s inside

Counts more than your skin

“Ugly is a social construct!”

He would preach to the sheep

And he would waddle on

To wake those asleep

And he found other spawns

Who were shunned by mum

To find they were swans

All along
