Truer Than the Grave
I am the one who named all the flowers
Who sprightly walked the world in ages past
With sunshine joy praised Heavenly powers
I am the one who ran through forests fast
Who knew the words to every blue song
And danced through silver moonlight to the last
I am the one who wrought the shining strong
The light that dwells, new-bright, in all hearts brave
And oh, I worked and sang all the night long
I am a dreamer in a daylight cave
Remembering the things that never were
But are true to me: truer than the grave
